Polluted.I've got this stuff in my veins. Besides blood, I mean. I know, because I have seen it flowing out of my body. It's metallic, liquid, like quicksilver, but it doesn't glisten. You can tell that there's some dust in it. I have never told anybody about this strange and disgusting substance. When I injured my right arm at work last week, I wrapped it in my scarf and ran to the bathroom. I didn't want to scare them. I didn't want them to see my limb turning silver. I did not want them to see the city in my veins.Polluted.
